Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are urging that a individual who jumped a barrier and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage shows the individual from Australia pushing past media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram account includes recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user remarked.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further response on Instagram.

Some attendees also faulted guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual adaptation of the well-known theatrical production Wicked, which revolves around the surprising bond between two very different sorceresses.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful film of last year in the UK, and scored 10 Academy Award nods, securing two for best costume and set decoration.
