The star midfielder Operated in a high position out wide while also put in the hard yards. Showed moments of class but dragged an attempt over. Withdrawn in the closing stages for a teammate, a fellow player, following a yellow card. 7/10

The winger Had England’s top opening of the first half, his strike smartly stopped from the Albanian keeper. With a teammate holding position, he was forced to provide width out wide yet his deliveries into the box varied in quality. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6

The captain The decisive figure scoring 77th and 78th strikes for his country. The opener a typical close-range tap-in and his next an excellent header following a clever run from his marker. Aged 32, he’s only getting better and England are strong contenders next summer when he's in the team. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Found it tough to influence play on the left flank. Was presented with a decent opportunity following a pass by the midfielder but the keeper made the save. Rashford made much more of an impact after coming on. Five
