Salah Offers Apology to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the team in the wake of the controversy from his televised remarks.
What Happened
He was omitted from a European match subsequent to making accusations and suggesting his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”
The manager has refused to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the 33-year-old forward.
Moving Forward
The player stated that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “Nothing about him changed, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” Jones added.
Jones also implied that a player's desire to start is preferable. “I get that there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”
Positive Results
Their results have remained strong in the period after the situation. The player is convinced the outburst were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a desire to win,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, playing well and on a positive run.”
