In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of prohibited practices and fearsome transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.

The questline centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Bonus Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with several artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Special weapons

Newest Free Story Update

This update also brings the game's newest free story episode, titled "The Mystery."
