Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
